Ban the use of unpaid internships

What the petition asks
Many internships require students to work obscene hours completely unpaid, creating an unfair class bias system, and exploiting students in a work environment. Companies should be required to pay their interns, more than just expenses being covered at a bare minimum.
In the fashion industry, many internships are completely unpaid or with only a small amount of expenses covered. With students working normal hours (9-5) or even longer during certain periods it is unlikely students can manage a paid job alongside. Not only does this create an unfair class bias system within the industry and can force and encourage the exploitation of students within a working environment.
