What the petition asks
Reverse the decision to scrap the Gender Recognition Act Consultation results, and obey the will of the people regarding this consultation, with a large majority of those consulted being in favour of reform of the GRA.
Over 100,000 were consulted and the results were overwhelmingly in favour of reform of the Gender Recognition Act (GRA). However, the government decided to scrap the results as they believe “believe the results were skewed by an avalanche of responses generated by trans rights groups.”
This is undemocratic and unfair, the consultation was held and the results recieved, the government simply must follow up on them as trans people are already one of the most vulnerable groups within our society.
