Remove Gender Markers from Birth Certificates and Passports

What the petition asks
I would like to appeal to the government to remove gender markers (such as 'male' and 'female'/'m' and 'f') from identification documents (such as birth certificates and passports).
This benefits more than just nonbinary people because it prevents discrimination on the basis of gender entirely.
This benefits more than just nonbinary people because it prevents discrimination on the basis of gender entirely.
There have been appeals for an 'X' marker on birth certificates and passports, however this could make nonbinary people (and people who would otherwise choose to have an X marker) victims of discrimination and hate crimes.
It is literally an X on your back.
The removal of gender markers entirely allows for the relief of dysphoria in trans people AND may help combat discrimination on the basis of gender (including trans people, nonbinary people and cis women).
