What the petition asks

Currently the help to buy scheme will end March 2021 which will see previous hone owners no longer qualify. We would like to see the current version of the extended 12 months under the same criteria till March 2022

Due to the impact of the coronavirus lockdown and the rising redundancy rate since May 2020 many people have had to cancel and back out of there property purchases under this scheme and now have no time remaining to re start there house purchase. This will effect the housing and building industry and cause thousands of people to not be able to get on or back on the housing ladder

Why it was rejected

There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.

You may wish to sign this petition calling for the same action: Extend the Help to Buy. Protect deposits for those over the new house cap.
