Petition · past parliament

Don't waste £900,000 on repainting the Prime Minister's private plane.

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

Cancel the repainting of the RAF Voyager if it is in an otherwise functional and clean state, or, if it is required for maintenance, renegotiate the terms of it's repainting to a lower more thrifty cost and less gaudy outcome that is appropriate for a time of restraint.
This is a time of national and global crisis, with financial ramifications that will resonate on far longer than can currently be anticipated. The government should demonstrate frugality in this time when such funds could be better spent on vulnerable children's summer meals, coronavirus drugs to save lives or mental healthcare for NHS front line workers. Not a vanity project for the incumbent government.
