Ban anonymous accounts on messaging apps

What the petition asks
Today I received an unwanted text message (with sexual content) from a user of an app. This app allowed the author to message me anonymously with absolutely no trace.
I would like the government to consider banning these apps or to implement tighter restrictions on their users.

It is important to consider the safety and protection of potential victims. It is reasonable to request a total ban, or for tighter restrictions on these mobile apps.
These apps are easy access for sexual predators, paedophiles, stalkers, abusers etc. to bully and harass their victims with no trace.
They are marketed as a safe method of contact for online business communication, dating or ‘short term projects’, but I think the possibility of criminal use outweighs the so-called benefits of these apps.
