What the petition asks
During COVID-19 many small shop and business owners are already struggling.
Many BIDs are set up and councils with companies required to pay a levy. If a company doesn’t pay it can be taken to court! We believe this is unfair is damaging the high street!

I am asking parliament to give businesses the right to opt out of BIDs so they are not required to pay a levy. Many small businesses have high overheads and during this time the Government needs to step in to stop local councils forcing companies to pay money to these BIDs. I am asking that government change the rules for businesses to opt in or opt out of BIDS across England.
