Make politics lessons mandatory in schools

What the petition asks
We need to make learning British and global politics mandatory in schools In order to encourage younger people to vote.
At the 2019 general election roughly just 47% of people 18-24 voted and just 55% of people between 25-34 voted.
Those are shocking figures when compared to the UK as a whole.

I believe if children are taught the importance of politics in their daily lives they would have the tools to and knowledge to vote more frequently.
I would like parliament to vote in favour of teaching children about British and global politics as a mandatory subject. This would this empower the British people further during elections.
