Extend the current Help to Buy scheme in England

Rejected 16 signatures

What the petition asks

Extend the current Help to Buy scheme in England by 6 months for those who have already exchanged contracts on there New Build Property.
The current Help to Buy scheme requires new builds to be built by the 31st December 2020 with legal completion by 31st March 2021.

With delays caused by COVID-19, it now means for many new build buyers there completion date has been delayed by a number of months, which takes them past the existing help to by deadline date.

By extending the legal completion date by 6 months it will mean those who were able to use Help to Buy before lockdown can continue to do so.
