Increase the fines for littering across the UK

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

If fines were more costly then it could encourage the public not to litter across the environment, and take better care of public spaces, communities and outdoor spaces.
There are more people voicing their concerns of rubbish being left in public spaces, near their homes and around their communities. If fines were increased, it may be a deterrent. More of the public are taking it into their own hands to litter pick in their areas to try and clear other people’s mess.
