What the petition asks

In WW2 King George called our Nation to have a day of prayer and fasting. 2 Chronicles 7:14
With Covid-19 Our health care, Jobs, Finances, People have all suffered. A national day of prayer would focus people to seek God for our Nations recovery. Only through God can this be done quickly.

Our country, needs to take time to seek God and pray. We have always had a rich culture for prayer and fasting. After King George VI called for a day of fasting and prayer, the nation gathered together and prayed and fasted for 1 day, A MIRACLE TOOK PLACE. Instead of only 30,000 soldiers being rescued at Dunkirk in 1940, over 300,000 soldiers were rescued.
Covid-19 has ravaged our nation. We need to pray and fast to God for our nations recovery.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

This would be a matter for religious institutions, not the UK Government or Parliament.
