What the petition asks
Impose restrictions on charities television advertisements imagery that depict African and Asians in a non flattery way to generate funds and thus perpetuating stereotypes which encourages racism
Charities such as water aid,save the children and sight savers use images that are simply not right to highlight the problem they are looking to provide solution to. Problem is this images are grotesque. Even charities for animal issue have better imagerys
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
The UK Government is not responsible for the content and tone of campaign materials produced by charities, and there are regulators in place to consider complaints against a charity on the basis of their fundraising or advertising.
