Government must tackle racism by implementing the recommendations of Inquiries

Rejected 19 signatures

What the petition asks

Successive Governments have launched reviews to tackle systemic racism. The Stephen Lawrence Inquiry; The McGregor-Smith Review; The Lammy Review; The Grenfell Inquiry; The Windrush Lessons Learned Review; The Fenton Report. We want a cross party strategic approach to implement these recommendations
Government has a responsibility to all people. Successive governments have failed to protect the interests of Black people by not implementing the recommendations of reviews which they set up, consigning black people in society to institutional racism; discrimination in the workplace; over representation in the criminal justice system; substandard dangerous housing; illegal deportation and the disproportionate impact of Covid 19. We want implementation of the recommendations by Government now
