Make domestic abuse workplace policies mandatory in England and Wales

What the petition asks
While guidance to help employers spot signs of domestic abuse is available, I feel that without a requirement that all employers have to put in place robust policies, much domestic abuse will continue to go unnoticed.
1 in 4 women & 1 in 6 men suffer from domestic abuse in their lifetime and domestic abuse costs businesses £1.9 billion per year due to decreased productivity, time off work, lost wages and sick pay. 1 in 5 survivors take time off work due to abuse.
A fifth of people meet their partner at work, and requiring employers to put in place policies to provide a supportive and safe workplace can help keep victims safe.
Every employer has a role to play including protection at work.
