What the petition asks
The British government is obligated to give justice to the people of Hong Kong by moving away from manufacturing goods in China. Large companies based in the UK that are manufacturing in China support the Chinese government. Incentivize them to move to manufacture out of China.
The shocking treatment of the people of Hong Kong and violating legal obligations entered into when it took control of the ex-UK colony in 1997 can not go unanswered.
Chinas aggressive clampdown of the freedoms of the people of Hong Kong are shocking and they are looking to us for help. We can support them by moving the manufacture and purchasing of Chinese goods.

Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
Decisions about fiscal policy in Hong Kong is a matter for the Government of Hong Kong, not the UK Government or House of Commons.
