Address the dire situation for ARFID and other atypical eating disorders needs.

Closed 2,138 signatures

What the petition asks

There is a lack of funding provided for those suffering from ARFID and other atypical eating disorders.

The Government needs to fund education, greater support for people with ARFID and atypical eating disorders and eating disorder clinics to ensure the quality of treatment improves everywhere.
Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder is characterised by the person avoiding certain foods or types of food, having restricted intake in terms of overall amount eaten or both. It is a debilitating disorder which impacts both the overall health of the person and those around them. Guidelines for treatment are inconsistent and outdated. Improved funding for eating disorder charities would also ensure that more people can be helped without huge waiting lists or worrying about catchment areas.
