Extension of current Help to Buy Equity Loan by a Year.

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

Help to buy has helped a lot of people climb on the property ladder. Most houses were to be completed in Nov 2020 and now they are to be completed in May 2021 due to lockdown and social distance. People have had their heart set on dream home only to be disappointed by something out of their control.
1. It will help house builders recover from the impact of the COVID-19 lock-down.
2.The price caps for the new Help to buy are based on old figures and house prices have increased within certain areas.
3.Many people and builders are going to struggle post lockdown and extending the Help to buy by another year will certainly boost confident.
