Make it a legal requirement for a cat to be mircochipped like it is for dogs

What the petition asks

Change the law to also make it also a legal requirement to have cats chipped aswell from the age of 8 weeks plus
Mircochipping is an essential part of responsible pet ownership each yeah thousands of cats are are taken in as strays as they not been chipped. Mircochipping is a safe way to give a lost cat the best chance on finding there owner. It also ensures owners can be informed in a sad event of a passing. It will also help animal care homes reduce number of strays and help save them money in the long run

Why it was rejected

There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.
