Reduce speed on Country roads in South Wales to 30mph

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

I am hoping that parliament can do something before more lives are lost. We try as much as possible to horse ride on country roads to avoid excess traffic but now this is becoming more difficult dangerous and extremely scary, 60mph through lanes is way to fast.
Many issues have been reported to the local authority and the local police but it feels like they are waiting for a disaster to happen before taking any action
If the speed limit was reduced to 30 I believe this would be of great benefit to all Horse Riders, Walkers, Dog Walkers and the General Public
Groeswen to Abertridwr road in Caerphilly South Wales are where I am situated

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

Local speed limits on roads are set by local authorities, not the UK Government or Parliament.
