Permanently abolish car parking fees for NHS staff
Rejected
21 signatures
What the petition asks
Car parking fees for staff in NHS hospitals present a huge expense for people who have already seen their pay cut significantly in real terms over the past decade. The sharp increase in parking fees has not been reflected in pay.
Staff often work for long periods including additional shifts and staying late. Along with registration fees and compulsory union membership, the car parking fees represent an additional unavoidable cost that staff often struggle to afford.
