Acknowledge and help Yemen’s humanitarian crisis

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

Using the governments leverage, push for a global ceasefire to help reach the communities at risk from the current pandemic as 80% of the population of Yemen are in need of humanitarian aid
After 5 years of war, Yemen’s healthcare system is severely damaged and this has only been furthered by the destruction from COVID-19 on the country’s health. Over 100,00 people have died and 1.8 million children are acutely malnourished due to the combination of these two crises. Over 2 million children no longer have access to education and 3.6 million people have been forced out of their homes. Yemen needs the support of our government more than ever.
