What the petition asks
The government must promise to ensure autumn examinations are free and accessible to all. Otherwise the social mobility of our cohort will be comprised and the examinations will lack social equality because low-income students won't be able to access the examinations.
Ofqual's predicted grade system has already been shown to harshly affect already disadvantaged students. This has been justified through the promise of autumn examinations. However, If these re-sits aren't free, then low-income students won't be able to access the exams to improve their grade and thus the meritocracy and integrity of the 2020 exam series will be comprised.
