Men who have sex with men should be able to donate blood.

Rejected 10 signatures

What the petition asks

Sexually active straight men and women can donate freely while gay and bisexual men can not unless they obtain from having sex for three months. The outdated rules need to change.
The idea that men who have sex with men can not donate reinstates the idea that gay men are more likely to have deseases like AIDs or other infections, straight men and women can also contract these infections.
Anyone who has donated blood will know that when it takes place your blood is tested for all sorts of infections. So why are sexually active gay and bisexual men not even given the chance. We are again as a nation reinforcing dangerous stereotypes from the 70s and it has to stop.
