What the petition asks
The chancellor has announced a cut in VAT from 20 per cent to 5 per cent across hotels, restaurants, theme parks, cinemas and other attractions.
We want to extend this to sports club and arts venues that have also been closed over the same period and have to find new ways of working to re-open

Sports and arts venues have been left out of government support, many were too large for the rate related grants or were in shared buildings.
They have had to remain closed until the end of July and yet have received no grants or reduced costs to help cover the fixed costs.
The bounce back loans have run out and whilst the tourism and hospitality industries have been given breaks leisure has been left out again. Leisure is vitally important for the health, fitness ad culture of our nation.
