Exempt all Emergency Service workers from parking restrictions when on call

Closed 94 signatures

What the petition asks

There are too many examples of Emergency Service workers having tickets put on their vehicles whilst they are out on a call, sometimes saving lives.
These volunteers are putting their lives on the line for people, and it is unreasonable that they should face the jeopardy of a parking fine as a reward.

The law currently exempts any vehicle being used for emergency purposes from parking fines. This exemption should be extended to all NHS, police, fire brigade or lifeboat volunteers and permanent staff when working on call, emergency or not.
