Rejected 12 signatures

What the petition asks

Review and request to grant ILR by default for those who risked their life as a critical worker and served during covid in the UK. It is mandatory that a person who is under Tier2 visa must meet certain sum of pay by the end of 5th year to obtain ILR. Study says 16% doesn't meet this requirement.
As per the Home Office guidelines it is mandatory that a person who is under Tier2 visa must meet certain sum of pay by the end of 5th year to obtain ILR. People who served as a critical staff during covid crisis must be exempted from this as they risked their own life and their families in order to run the BAU & helped the smooth functioning of the economy. Hence Home Office should review and grant ILR to those who doesn't meet the salary requirement and served the country for their good deed.

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

You want 'critical workers' to be given indefinite leave to remain (ILR), however you don't specify what you mean by key workers.

We do however have a number of petitions open which call for ILR to be granted to specified groups of workers, which you may like to sign:

Indefinite Leave to Remain for NHS Staff
Grant all overseas NHS staff and their family's indefinite leave to remain (ILR)
Extend rights to access public funds and apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain
