Fund free travel for Under 18s
Rejected
21 signatures
What the petition asks
Under 18s have free travel on TfL Services (excluding Trains, Thameslink etc.). Free travel for Under 18s wil be scrapped as part of the Governments £1.6 billion bailout of Transport for London (TfL).
A London Assembly member stated, “The government’s plans to revoke free travel for under-18s in our capital is nothing short of an attack on our children and they need to be urgently taken off the table”. As a young adult, I know how this’ll affect those around me. This is unjust and unfair, especially to those families claiming Universal Credit and other related benefits.
