What the petition asks
Change the law to give police the authority to stop search cars and search premises for stolen dogs
Dog theft is a major problem in uk and is very traumatising for owners , these thieves need stopping what ever their back ground , we need the police to Stop and search and go into properties to find our stolen dogs , social media groups are working hard together to Share and find our dogs but we need the police to go further and go into premises to search for them aswell
Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. The police are already able to search vehicles for stolen property, and can search homes with a warrant if they believe stolen property is being stored there.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
