Allow equestrian events to resume in Scotland with social distancing measures.

Rejected 10 signatures

What the petition asks

To allow equestrian events in Scotland to resume and the use of indoor riding arenas to be used .
At this current time Scotland is still not allowed to hold equestrian events or allow use of indoor riding arenas unlike England. It is affecting all Scottish competitions including British Showjumping, British Eventing and British Dressage. Also it is causing financial strain on riding schools, equestrian centres that rely on the income coming in for lessons and events. In England it has resumed with social distancing in place , we would ask for this to be able to resume in Scotland aswell to help the equestrian businesses start earning again after months of hardship.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

This would be a matter for the Scottish Government, not the UK Government or House of Commons.

The Scottish Parliament has its own Public Petitions Committee. If you'd like to send your petition to the Scottish Parliament, you can find out more here: https://www.parliament.scot/gettinginvolved/petitions/index.aspx
