Increase minimum & maximum sentences for crimes against the elderly & vulnerable

What the petition asks
Crimes targeted at vulnerable and elderly people are shockingly high – an older person becomes the victim of fraud ever 40 seconds!
We ask Parliament to make it law that minimum and maximum sentences for crimes against the elderly and vulnerable are increased, sending a clear message to criminals.
Sophisticated criminals target the elderly and vulnerable, sometimes leading to devastating financial loses, and adverse affects on mental health and wellbeing.
In a fair and just society such targeted crimes against the older and more vulnerable people must stop! Increasing sentences for these crimes is one way to achieve this.
