Create an official exemption card for those unable to use a face covering.

Rejected 12 signatures

What the petition asks

An exemption card should be issued by a medical professional to an individual who is unable to put on, wear or remove a face covering because of a physical, mental illness/impairment or disability or
putting on or wearing or removing a face covering will cause severe distress.
The majority of those not wearing a face covering in England just don’t want to. This puts the public, vulnerable and the NHS at risk of a Covid-19 peak.
An offical exemption card should be issued on a case by case basis to those who are unable to use a covering due to a medical exemption. If this can’t be shown then it will allow businesses to refuse entry if a person won’t use a face covering. This will then protect everyone and allow enforcement of your face covering guidance.

Why it was rejected

The UK Government or Parliament was already taking the action it asked for.

Since you started your petition the Government has published official badges for people who are exempt from wearing a face covering: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/face-coverings-when-to-wear-one-and-how-to-make-your-own
