Create a homeless employer scheme to help homeless people into work

What the petition asks
The Government should create and fund a scheme, like the disability confident employer scheme, to encourage more employers to recruit homeless people, to help them get back on their feet.
This scheme should include a guaranteed offer of an interview if they meet minimum criteria and targets.
This would help give the homeless a fighting chance and could:
- help reduce homeless rates & antisocial behaviour;
- help people who have become homeless with their wellbeing
- help reduce squatters
- enable them the opportunity to get off the streets
- help them be a part of society and save the government money, by them contributing
- improve the look and cleanliness of towns
- reduce substance misuse and dependency
- show them that they are a valued member of the community.
