What the petition asks
As the number of knife crimes continues to rise considerably, the UK public can no longer rely on the police to ensure their personal security as they go about their daily lives. Violent crimes often go unsolved, and even when they are solved, for the victims, it is already too late.
Those who have signed this petition ask that the UK government reconsiders current legislation that bans the possession of non-lethal self-defense items such as pepper spray and stun guns. The people of the UK have a right to defend themselves from violent criminals, but with the stringent laws in place now, we are left at the mercy of law-breakers. As it stands, only criminals are able possess any type of weapon. Give your people a fighting chance.
