What the petition asks
Provide financial support, incentives, similar to the eat out to help out scheme, or bail outs, such as those given to the arts, to professionals within the beauty industry, currently prohibited from carrying out facial treatments. The beauty industry generated 2.7billion for the UK economy in 2017.
The public has been incentivised to go out and eat. The arts have been allocated £1.6 billion bailout. The beauty industry is forced to operate without being able to offer their most profitable and popular treatments. The industry comprises mainly of female entrepreneurs, 94% of those working in beauty are female. Research shows that when women earn money, they spend it on their family, improving quality of life for others.
