Bring back full Dental Treatment on the NHS

Rejected 11 signatures

What the petition asks

NHS dentists are only allowed to do check ups and extractions to ensure patient safety and prevent the spread of Covid 19 but these same dentists can offer all other treatments privately.
This would appear to be bringing in private dental care by the back door. Patients have to end up toothless if they are unable to pay the large amounts involved.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

Dentists have been allowed to reopen for non-urgent treatment since 8 June. Decisions about the services being provided by individual dentists is a matter for individual dental practices, not the Government or House of Commons.
