What the petition asks
During this crisis many companies are not offering paid internships, and univeraities are not accepting non paid interships. Moreover, the companies are going back if the person is on tier-4 visa.
Many students asked their student services to respond on the situation and no one is coming forth and solving the problem. Many universities are not even showing a least concern
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
We can't accept petitions about things that are not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament. Whether to allow their students to take on unpaid internships is a matter for individual universities, not the Government or Parliament.
UK law already allows international students on a Tier 4 (general) visa to take on unpaid internships. You can find out more here: https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/843003/T4_Migrant_Guidance_October_2019.pdf.
