What the petition asks
Similar to the ‘Eat Out to Help Out’ scheme, establish a ‘Work Out to Help Out’ scheme to financially support those wanting to develop a healthier lifestyle and the smaller gyms and community fitness providers to return to a viable business. Run it on the same basis as the Eat Out scheme-50% off
It has been shown that becoming fitter and healthier reducing the risk of serious illness caused by Covid-19. The bike scheme is limited to those that want to ride a bike and does not support a wider focus on community fitness or a return to Covid-safe gyms, both of which are suffering following lockdown. This would support the fitness industry while encouraging the nation to get fitter and healthier, thereby reducing risk of serious illness and the pressure on the NHS
