What the petition asks
don’t weigh students when going back to schools in september as this will cause eating disorder relapse to thousands of children and deal with the obesity problem in ways that aren’t harmful to children with eating disorders such as offering healthier options and not focusing on numbers
i would like the government to make a change as eating disorders have the highest mortality rate of any mental health condition and this will cause thousands of children to relapse into an eating disorder. instead of weighing children we should focus on exercise and healthier food options as doing this will only be damaging children’s mental health it may help the obesity crisis but not in a healthy way
