Condemn the Belarus Government for harassment and detention of its citizens

What the petition asks
Amid upcoming presidential elections, we have seen the harassment and detention of thousands of people, including independent journalists, social media actors, human rights defenders and peaceful protestors. The UK Government should condemn these actions in the strongest possible terms.
The United Kingdom as a prime example of modern democracy often stands firm against breaches of human rights and freedom, and must do so in this instance by condemning the arbitrary harassment and detention of citizens.
