What the petition asks
Use of the term BAME to dehumanising and should stop. BAME is not an accurate way of describing such a wide number of people who be from many different backgrounds.
The term BAME is dehumanising as it pigeon holes all people from a black Asian or minority ethnic background into a single group when they are in fact many separate groups It is a lazy term used by white people to lump all people different from themselves into a single group. Its use should be stopped by local and central government and more explicit and accurate descriptions employed instead.
