MPs and Lords should trial COVID vaccine before public
Rejected
21 signatures
What the petition asks
The MPs Lords and civil servants paid for by the public who are advocating the public to take part in the COVID vaccine trials should lead by example which is their civic duty and volunteer themselves and families first.
The government is in service to the people we are governed by consent, therefore anything the government wants the people (who it is meant To serve) to get involved with, they should wholeheartedly lead by example and do the right thing and volunteer themselves and families, it would show the government is there to serve and they value you the very people who funds the government, anything else just comes across as tyranny.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. Volunteering for clinical trials is a matter for individuals to decide on, and depends on the requirements of each study.
