Allow Notice Pay to be tax exempt for those receiving zero redundancy pay.

What the petition asks
Due to Covid 19, many are being made redundant with zero statutory redundancy pay. I am asking the government to temporarily exempt the salary employees receive in their notice period and Pay in Lieu of Notice from income tax.
As someone about to be made redundant due to Covid 19, I will be receiving zero redundancy pay due to my employer not extending this due to the current situation and my time in the company. I am asking for the final salary received in an employee’s notice period to be tax exempt so that those in a similar situation facing financial ruin will at least be in a slightly better financial position whilst job seeking for the extended period it is likely to take.
