Pressure Israel to allow international inspection of its nuclear sites

What the petition asks
That in addition the UK Govt should exercise all its authority to insist that, in the interests of security and safety in the Middle East, the Israeli Govt, as a minimum and with immediate effect, should sign the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, as have all other states in the region.
The Middle East now is very insecure and unstable. Having nuclear weapons in the region only worsens this and makes it more dangerous. It is essential in the interests of peace and stability in this region and indeed around the whole world, that this threat is removed. This is in line with the stated commitment among nuclear powers to reduce and eliminate their arsenals and overwhelming support for this in the UN.
