Abolish the TV license

Rejected 10 signatures

What the petition asks

Permanently abolish the TV license for all.
The TV license is no longer necessary as there are many alternative forms of revenue open to BBC which weren't available in 1948 when the license was introduced, i.e. joint ventures with other organisations, [britbox and UKTV] sales of programmes and other products round the world and signal encryption to prevent non fee payers using their services. It also discriminates agains the poorest people in society,, the elderly, disabled and very low paid, being forced to pay could cause hardship.
