Fund more research into medical benefits of cannabis

What the petition asks
I would like the Government to fund further research on the medical use of cannabis, to inform possible further decriminalisation.
This could lead to medical cannabis being made more easily accessible for patients with chronic pain conditions, neurological disorders and other illnesses that cannabis may treat.
It could enable people with serious medical conditions to find some peace and relief in life where other medication can't help. Further research would help the NHS decide what methods of treatment are most appropriate.
