What the petition asks
Last night at the proms, televised on the BBC, has many patriotic songs, such as rule Britannia played which have come under threat of being axed by recent events.
Reduce funding for the BBC if they do axe the songs that make many Britons proud of their country.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
Decisions about the BBC Proms are a matter for BBC, which is operationally independent, not the Government or House of Commons.
