Increase funding for researching and developing cancer treatments and cures

What the petition asks
The Covid-19 outbreak has shown how quickly medical research can be undertaken when there is political will and funding, but there has been too little progress developing treatments and cures for cancer in recent years.
I want everybody to have a chance of survival. The Government needs to protect the health of unlucky cancer patients. People die every day from cancer but the Government provides little funding to support research, and charities have to pick up the slack. Save lives, fund research.
