Reopen childrens contact centres

Rejected 14 signatures

What the petition asks

Reopen childrens contact centres for my children to beable to have face to face contacts with me their mother because we've not seen each other face to face since march due to covid 19 lock down.
My boy's are missing me and I am missing them very much.
Because schools are now opening which should mean that its safe enough for contact centre to reopen for biological parents to see their children.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

Most child contact centres are operated independently, so decisions about whether to reopen are a matter for individual operators, not the Government or House of Commons.

On 22 June the National Association of Child Contact Centres recommended that centres make independent decisions about whether they feel able to re-open their services: https://naccc.org.uk/coronavirus-update

You should contact your local child contact centre to see what arrangements they are making for reopening.
