What the petition asks

Privatise the DVSA. We believe this is neededd due to the recent shambolic handling of the backlog of driving tests. If the DVSA became open to private test centers similar to obtaining a personal licence to sell alcohol this could take a lot of stress off the archaic system we currently have.
As the COVID pandemic has created a backlog of new drivers wanting a test, the servers for booking and members of staff available are seriously stretched thin. Privatisation could also bring hundreds of jobs into existence.
