What the petition asks

To add cats to the road traffic act 1988, so if a cat gets hit by a cat the person responsible has to report it.

My cat was recently hit by a car and left to die at the side of the road. Cats like dogs are someone’s pet and are a major part of the family they belong to. They are every bit as important as a dog and therefore should also be covered by the law.

Why it was rejected

There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.
